The Leadership Lab is a space where leaders come together to reflect, strengthen their leadership practice, learn from one another, and navigate the realities of leadership with clarity and confidence
For the leaders in the middle — the ones who make it all work.
If you supervise people, manage team dynamics, and sometimes feel like you're navigating the messy middle of leadership — this program was designed for you.
The Leadership Lab is a practical leadership experience for supervisors and managers who want to communicate clearly, navigate hard moments with confidence, and lead with intention.
Practical tools you can use immediately
Real scenarios. Real feedback. Real growth.
Space to think, practice, and connect with other leaders who understand the pressure
A structured development experience — designed for real leadership growth.
The Leadership Lab unfolds across three focused modules, delivered over six 2-hour labs. Each module strengthens a different layer of leadership: Self → Team → Organization
LEADERSHIP GETS EASIER WHEN YOU DON’T HAVE TO FIGURE IT OUT ALONE.
The next cohort begins April 2026. Small groups ensure thoughtful discussion and real practice.
Module 1: Leading Self
Leadership starts with awareness.
You’ll develop clarity around:
Your communication patterns and leadership tendencies
How you show up under pressure
The gap between your intention and your impact
Emotional regulation in difficult moments
Because sustainable leadership begins with understanding yourself first.
Module 2: Leading Teams
Most leadership tension shows up here.
You’ll strengthen your ability to:
Address negative behaviour without escalating conflict
Initiate and navigate difficult conversations with structure
Rebuild trust when it’s been strained
Adapt your communication across different personalities
Set expectations clearly — and follow through
This is where theory turns into practice.
Module 3: Leading in the Organization
Leadership in the middle requires influence.
You’ll learn how to:
Lead change without losing team credibility
Communicate decisions from above with clarity and alignment
Have an impact without formal authority
Hold boundaries while remaining collaborative
Stay balanced when pressure increases from both directions
THE DETAILS
Labs are held every second week — intentionally. Because leadership development shouldn’t feel like drinking from a fire hose. You need time to apply what you’re learning in real situations, reflect, and return with insight. Between labs, you’ll have access to a live one-hour virtual office hour each week — a dedicated space to troubleshoot, ask questions, and integrate what’s happening in your real leadership world.
COHORT SIZE:
Virtual cohort: maximum 8 participants
In-person cohort: maximum 15 participants
Small groups allow for meaningful discussion, real-time practice, and personal feedback.
COHORT DATES:
Virtual: Tuesday April 14, 2026 (9:30-11:30 am EST)
In-Person: Tuesday April 14, 2026 (1:00-3:00 pm EST), Location: TBA
This isn’t passive learning.
It’s structured, paced development.
The Leadership Lab is a high-impact leadership experience designed for leaders in the messy middle, managing teams while staying connected to the bigger vision.
It’s not another management course filled with buzzwords or theory. It’s a space to slow down, reflect, and strengthen the way you lead — with awareness, intention, and clarity.
Next Cohort Starts April 2026. Both IN-PERSON (Thunder Bay) and Virtual Cohorts available.
LEADING A TEAM IS A DIFFERENT KIND OF RESPONSIBILITY
Most supervisors step into leadership carrying two responsibilities at once.
The work itself — and the people doing it.
Suddenly you’re navigating team dynamics, difficult conversations, competing expectations, and decisions that affect others.
All while still carrying much of the work that made you successful in the first place
If you’re leading in the middle, this might sound familiar:
One negative voice shaping the tone of the whole team — and you’re not sure how to address it without escalating things.
Different personality styles pulling in different directions, creating friction you’re expected to smooth out.
Hard conversations that keep getting pushed down the list because you want to handle them well.
Long-time team members resistant to change while expectations from above keep coming.
Trying to keep your team committed when decisions are handed down that you didn’t make.
Rebuilding trust after a misstep — without losing credibility in the process.
Leadership is NOT something you’re meant to “figure out” alone.
Leadership a skill set.
And like any skill set, it can be strengthened — with structure, practice, and reflection.
The Leadership Lab is designed specifically for supervisors and managers leading in the middle.
It’s a place to:
Practice real conversations before you have them
Strengthen how you communicate under pressure
Learn how to rebuild trust when it wavers
Develop clarity around your leadership style and impact
Connect with other leaders navigating similar challenges
Not theory. Not surface-level motivation.
Leadership is an intentional practice.
Why The Leadership Lab Exists
Most supervisors and managers are promoted because they’re capable. Not because they’ve been trained to lead people.
Over the years, I kept seeing the same pattern: Leaders feeling stuck between upper management and their teams.
Avoiding conversations they knew mattered. Trying to protect relationships while still being responsible for results.
The issue wasn’t effort. It was structure.
Leadership development is often delivered in one or multi-day bursts — a flood of information with little time to practice or integrate.
You attend. You take notes. You leave. Then you’re back in the same leadership reality — alone.
The Leadership Lab was designed differently.
Spaced learning
Small cohorts
Real-time practice
Room for reflection
Support in between
And most importantly — development that happens alongside other leaders navigating similar challenges. Because leadership strengthens when you’re able to:
Hear how others are handling similar situations
Learn from different perspectives
Realize you’re not the only one navigating tension
Practice in a room where people understand the context
This isn’t passive training. It’s shared development. Strengthening how you lead doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens through intentional repetition, application, and conversation.

This isn’t about becoming a different leader.
It’s about navigating leadership with more clarity.
By the end of The Leadership Lab, leaders don’t just feel more confident — they lead differently.
They stop:
Making decisions that impact the team without first gathering input.
Avoiding challenging conversations and hoping issues resolve themselves.
Letting one difficult personality shape team culture.
Reacting under pressure in ways that erode trust.
They start:
Initiating hard conversations earlier — with clarity and confidence.
Communicating expectations in ways that reduce confusion and resentment.
Adapting their approach based on different personalities and dynamics.
Explaining decisions from above in a way that maintains credibility.
Leading change without unintentionally damaging trust.
The shift is subtle but significant.
Less reactivity. More intention. Stronger leadership presence.
